Lasse Karilainen, the long-term CEO and owner of ProSilva Oyj, died in Ruovesi on April 3, 2020, exhausted by illness. Lasse has been a contractor in the forestry sector since the early 1980s. The machines were built according to their own needs. In 1998, Lasse founded ProSilva Oyj with his closest partners and players and began manufacturing forest machines for sale.

Lasse constantly strived to develop solutions that facilitate timber harvesting, both from a contractor-oriented perspective and without prejudice. One of the important things for Lasse was meeting the buyers of the machines in person. In this way, he personally felt that he was responsible for the functionality and suitability of the machine he sold to his customers.

The machines are constantly running around the world at work, but in Ruovesi one engine has shut down. Lasse Karilainen will be blessed for the rest of the grave in Ruovesi on April 23, 2020.

Instead of flowers or addresses, the memory of Lasse Karilainen can be honored by supporting the work of the Cancer Foundation in the account Nordea FI20 2344 1800 0032 29 / BIC: NDEAFIHH / in the message field the mention “In memory of Lasse Karilainen”.
